Gangs of London is a well-known British action–crime drama TV series. Created by Gareth Evans, the show is based on the 2006 video game of the same name, serving as the fourth installment in The Getaway franchise. The show focuses on the conflicts between competing gangs and other criminal groups in modern-day London.
The first season of Gangs of London debuted in 2020 at the beginning of lockdown; it sprang out of nowhere and completely astounded audiences. The second season premiered on October 20, 2022, in the UK and Germany and premiered on November 17, 2022 in the US.
Since the second season dropped, fans are eagerly waiting for the next season. Therefore, the wait has been worthwhile, and the good news has finally arrived as the show has been formally renewed for a third season by the network.

Gangs of London season 3 Release Date
In November 2022, following the second season’s premiere on AMC in the US, Gangs of London secured renewal for Season 3. Subsequently, in October 2023, production commenced under the direction and executive production of Kim Hong Sun (Project Wolf Hunting) with Peter McKenna leading as writer and executive producer.
The production of the second season was impacted due to COVID-19. Filming for the second season began on May 31, 2021, and wrapped in February 2022. The second season premiered on October 20, 2022.
Based on the above release pattern, we expect Gangs of London Season 3 to come out in Fall 2024 at the earliest.
Gangs of London Season 3 Plot
The official synopsis for Gangs of London Season 3 reads:
“Ex-undercover cop turned gangster Elliot is now operating as a top-level criminal alongside the Dumanis, but their business is thrown into chaos when their shipment of cocaine is spiked, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilians all over London. The ensuing chaos attracts attention from the authorities, putting the gangs of London under pressure like never before and the ripple effects — both personal and professional — will have devastating consequences for everyone from the Wallaces, to Luan, to Lale and the street gangs. This was a targeted attack, and it’s only the beginning, but the question is — who did it and why?”
Gangs of London Season 3 Cast
The cast of the third season was recently revealed. As per Deadline, Andrew Koji (Warrior), Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones), and T’Nia Miller (Fall of the House of Usher) have boarded the upcoming season of Gangs of London.
Koji will play an unnamed assassin. Dormer’s character, Cornelius Quinn, is someone from the past whose return brings back old conflicts for Marian Wallace and Ed Dumani. Miller plays the strong new Mayor of London who’s going to cause trouble for the gangs.
The cast members set to reprise their roles this season include Dìrísù as Carter, Joe Cole as the gangster Sean Wallace, Michelle Fairley portraying Marian Wallace, Lucian Msamati as Ed Dumani, and Brian Vernel as Billy Wallace.
Additionally returning to the action-packed thriller are Pippa Bennett-Warner as Shannon Dumani, Narges Rashidi playing Lale, Asif Raza Mir as Asif Afidi, Orli and Eri Shuka as Luan and Mirlinda Dushaj, Jahz Armando as Saba, and Fady Elsayed as Faz.
