Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar to reunite after 22 years

Shah Rukh and Akshay were last seen together in 1997 blockbuster Dil To Pagal Hai though they hardly had any scenes together.

Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are the two biggest superstars of the country. Records are bound to be broken if these two superstars come together for a movie. Akshay and Shah Rukh together in a movie is big news for their fans.

Their fans are super excited to see them together and this may happen sooner than expected. As per reports, the makers of Malayalam super hit movie Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel are planning to rope in Shah Rukh and Akshay for its Hindi remake.

The original movie starring Dileep, Mamta Mohandas and Priya Anand in the lead roles was released a few days back.  It received a good response from the audience and also went on to become a hit at the box office. Now, the makers are considering remaking it in Hindi.

Talking about the same, the director of Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel, Unnikrishnan said, “Viacom (the production company) is considering remaking the movie and discussions are in the initial stages. We are talking to both Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan for starring in the movie.”

SRK and Akshay were seen together in 1997 super hit movie Dil To Pagal Hai. Then they shared the screen space in the song Mast Kalandar from movie Heyy Babyy released in 2007. Akshay had a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om released in 2007.

When Shah Rukh was earlier asked about working with Akshay, he had quoted, “It will be fun to work with Akshay. Dono set pe hi nahin milenge. Woh jaa raha hoga aur main aa raha hounga (laughs) (He’ll be leaving the set and I’ll be coming in). I would like to work like Akshay and with him, but our timings won’t match.”

Talking about work front, Akshay Kumar has four big releases this year while Shah Rukh is yet to sign his next.
