Will There be See Season 4? Everything You Need To Know

See is one of Apple’s flagship shows with a strong premise and powerful characters. The thrilling sci-fi drama is set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia in the distant future where a blind tribe believes that two of its children have the mythical power to see.

The series debuted on Apple TV+ on Nov 1, 2019. Following the first season’s success, the show was renewed for a second season that debuted on Aug 21, 2021. Even before the second season’s premiere, the show was renewed for a third season that debuted on Aug 26, 2022. The third season finale will land on Apple TV+ on Oct 14, 2022, and fans are already wondering what the future holds for this dystopian thriller. Will there be See Season 4? Has it been renewed or canceled? Here’s everything we know.

See Season 4 isn’t happening

In June 2022, it was announced that the third season would conclude the series. It means the episode titled “I See You” arriving on Oct 14, 2022, will be the final episode of the series.

If you’re thinking that the show is canceled after three seasons, the truth is that it isn’t. It was always planned as a three-season series with a satisfying ending.

Showrunner and Executive producer Jonathan Tropper also talked about the third season being the last.

“We are thrilled to share this epic final chapter of See, which delivers all the intense drama, riveting action, and heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect, as well as what we think is a deeply satisfying conclusion to our story.”

“Building a world without sight was a particularly unique and continuous challenge that was met through the passionate and thoughtful collaboration of a phenomenally talented and diverse team both in front of and behind the camera. The show has been a monumental labor of love for all involved, and we are eternally grateful for the way See has been embraced by viewers around the world.”

Well, the reactions from fans have been mixed to this news. While some are happy that the show is ending perfectly while others think that Apple TV+ could have extended the series for two more seasons.

Jason Momoa is happy with the “Perfect Ending”

Aquaman star Jason Momoa who plays Baba Voss is satisfied with the show ending after three seasons. He said, “I think about a little bit of both. I think three seasons is pretty perfect. I mean, just depends on the show, but I feel like this was the perfect time to kind of wrap it all up. I feel like a lot of shows I’ve been part of didn’t plan for that. And then those seasons and everyone’s always bummed out and the fans are bummed out, and I think that’s the thing where I’m like, ‘Yes, let’s wrap this up. Let’s do it. And truth be told too, it’s like we’ve got so many projects coming up too, that we’re doing. It’s like, let’s focus on See. So we shot back-to-back Season 2 and Season 3 before I went to go do Aquaman 2 so.”

Momoa, however, won’t be leaving Apple TV+. He has already signed his next project – a limited series Chief of War.

Will See return with a spin-off or a sequel?

Considering the popularity of the series, it won’t be surprising if Apple TV+ comes up with a spin-off, prequel, or sequel. However, as the things stand today, there is no update on such developments.

We’ll be sure to update this section with more information as it becomes available.

You can watch all three seasons of See on Apple TV+.
