Sarbjit Music Review and Soundtrack: Here to make you feel the pain!

Directed by Omung Kumar, the Sarbjit soundtrack has a total of ten tracks composed by a variety of composers. A set of accomplished singers have given their voices to the songs but is it all worth the effort? Find out by reading our Sarbjit music review below-

1. Salamat

Salamat song is beautifully composed by Amaal Mallik with some amazing lyrics by Rashmi Virag and sung by Amaal Mallik, Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar. This song gives a good start to the album.

2. Dard

An emotional track sung by Sonu Nigam with the music of Jeet Gannguli. The moving lyrics are penned by Rashmi Virag and Jaani, though all these people fail to create a classic number. Dard is just another sad song.

3. Tung Lak

Time for some celebration with Tung Lak in the energetic voices of Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shail Hada and Kalpana Gandharv. The high voltage music by Shail- Pritesh leave a good impression. Though the lyrics by Sandeep Singh are the weakest point of the song, this song may be high-on-demand for wedding celebrations.

4. Rabba

Like Dard, Rabba is a situational sad song but not as good as it. Sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali ,music given by Tanishk Bagchi and the lyrics by Arafat Mehmood, the song is a bit to negative and hurried.

5. Meherbaan

Moving on from the sad mood, it’s ‘Qawwali’ time. Meherbaan is in the voice of Sukhwinder Singh, Shail Hada and Munnawar Masoom. Shail-Pritesh have again given music to this one accompanied with lyrics by A.M. Turaz. Meherbaan has a Sufi touch and takes you into a devotional mode. A great effort!

6. Barsan Laagi

If you don’t already know, Barsan Laagi is an Indian classical song from Thumri raaga. There are various versions of this song with the same tune and different lyrics. This version is sung by Shail Hada, lyrics by A.M. Turaz and music of Shail–Pritesh. I feel they have done an excellent effort by creating a beautiful version of Barsan Laagi, this will surely make you feel good.

7. Allah Hu Allah

Written by Late Haider Nazmi and music by Tanishk Bagchi, Allah Hu Allah has Shashaa Tirupati, Altamash Khan and Rabbani Mustafa come together for this prayer song and they do create a lovely song.

8. Mera Junoon

One of the best tracks of the album in the vulnerable voice of Shail Hada and music by Shail-Pritesh. The lyrics by A M Turaz are simply awesome. The song seems to tell you to never lose hope, works out wonderfully in doing that.

9. Nindiya

Nindiya is a surprise package as we don’t generally find lullabies in male voices, but Arijit Singh seems perfect for this job. With music by Shashi-Shivamm and lyrics by Sandeep Singh, you can add this song to your in-the-bed-playlist.

10. Sarbjit

Composed by Shail-Pritesh and the vocals by Shail Hada, Sarbjit theme song has a set of soothing musical arrangements and has pain, sadness is written all over it.

Here’s the complete soundtrack of Sarbjit-

Sarbjit Music Review – Final Verdict and Rating: Almost all of the songs of Sarbjit are situational numbers and while I’m impressed by them, I will look forward to see how the songs are placed in the movie. Our pick of the lot would be Salamat, Tung Lak, Mera Junoon and Meherbaan.

Our Rating: 3 stars
