Salaar OTT Release: Prabhas’ high-octane actioner Salaar is all set to premiere on the OTT platform. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan.
After a hugely successful run at the box office, Prabhas’ high-octane actioner ‘Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire’ is all set to make its OTT debut. The Prashanth Neel directorial which debuted in theaters on Dec 22, 2023, will be streaming on Netflix from January 20, 2024.
One of the most-anticipated releases of 2023, Salaar, opened to a terrific response at the box office. It went on to become one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters and the fourth highest-grossing Indian movie of 2023.

Global streaming giant Netflix announced Salaar will premiere on their platform, on January 20, 2024, at 12:00 am. Sharing a post on Twitter (X), they wrote, “Khansaar’s Salaar, Varadharaja Mannar’s Salaar is here, and you already know the war machine is UNSTOPPABLE! #Salaar is coming to Netflix on 20 January in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada (sic).”

It should be noted that the post doesn’t mention the Hindi version. So, you can only watch this blockbuster movie in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages from midnight today. The Hindi version of Salaar will be released later on Netflix.
Chaluve Gowda, the co-founder of Hombale Films, stated that Netflix’s announcement regarding Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire having Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil options was specifically for a festival special. Regarding the Hindi version, he ensured that the movie would exclusively be available on Netflix, with an official confirmation expected soon.

Unlike South Indian movies, which may be accessible for streaming within 30 days of their theatrical release, Hindi movies stick to a mandatory waiting period of at least 8 weeks before becoming available for streaming.
About Salaar and its sequel
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ is an action-packed drama written and helmed by Prashanth Neel of ‘KGF’ fame. It also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, Bobby Simha, Sriya Reddy, and Tinnu Anand in pivotal roles.
The second installment is titled Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam’. In a recent interview, Prabhas revealed that the story is ready and an announcement about the shooting will be made soon.
