Ace comedian Rajpal Yadav is all set to make a big comeback with Coolie no. 1 remake. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles.
Rajpal Yadav is one of the most talented comedians of our time. He has given us many memorable performances in movies including Hungama, Bhul Bhulaiyya, Chup Chupke, Phir Hera Pheri, and many others, and has stolen the show away with his mind-blowing timing and acting skills.
However, the actor was having a rough time for the past few months as he came out of prison this February.
In November 2018, Rajpal Yadav was sentenced for three months in prison after he failed to repay a sum of Rs. 5 crores that his company took to produce a film in 2010. He was lodged at the Tihar Jail. When he was serving his term, there was news that Rajpal performed during a cultural program in prison that was held for the inmates.
In February, after he came out of the prison Rajpal Yadav revealed that he has healed now and is very excited to go back to the film set and start shooting. He had said:
“I will soon start the shooting of the film Time To Dance alongside Sooraj Pancholi and Isabelle Kaif. We shot the film abroad. A small part of it remains. We will finish that. It could have been finished before.”
He shared:
“There was a lot of discipline that we all had to follow. But I always tried to engage my mind with something or the other. I used to interact with the fellow prisoners during recreation activity; I used to conduct an interactive session that we named Rajpal Ki Paathshala,”
He added:
“I gave motivational speeches. Did exercise in the morning. We had access to the library and I used to sit there and read,”
Rajpal Yadav is now all set to make a comeback in Bollywood as he has just joined the amazing cast of Coolie No. 1, which stars the director’s son Varun Dhawan with Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. The movie is being directed by David Dhawan.
Rajpal Yadav, in an interview, expressed his gratitude towards David Dhawan for giving him an opportunity. He said:
“I’m thankful to David Dhawan sir and Varun for giving an opportunity to be a part of Coolie No. 1 remake. This is the third time that I’m acting with Varun. I am really excited about this remake,”
He added:
“Ram Gopal Varmaji’s Jungle established me as an actor, Priyadarshan sir’s Hungama made me popular, and David sir re-established me with Judwaa 2. So, I’m grateful for this opportunity,”
Varun Dhawan and Rajpal Yadav, both of them had earlier worked together on Judwaa 2 and Main Tera Hero. Both films were directed by David Dhawan and were a big hit.
