Ragnarok is a Norwegian fantasy drama series reimagining of Norse mythology. The series first aired on Netflix in January 2020. The second season released in May 202. In Novemeber 2021, Herman Tømmeraas, the actor who plays Fjor, confirmed that the series will return for season 3 and that it will be its final season. Ragnarok is Netflix’s third Norwegian-language TV series and it is produced by the Danish production company SAM Productions. Here is all we know about Ragnarok Season 3.

Ragnarok is a Norwegian fantasy series that first premiered in 2020. It is a contemporary retelling of Norse mythology that is set in the fictitious Norwegian town of Edda, which is plagued by industrial pollution and climate change.

As the series’ final season of filming came to an end, the cast said their final goodbyes to one another. The cast released a video expressing their pleasure after learning that the show had been picked up for a third season. They expressed gratitude to the audience for their avid viewing, which allowed Netflix to renew the series for a third season. Skam meets Thor sounds like a surefire hit in theory, but even then, the success of Netflix’s Ragnarok still took some by surprise. That continued in the second season, so it’s no surprise they’re coming back for one more round.

Here is everything we know about the release date, plot and cast of the third season.

When is Ragnarok Season 3 Release Date?

The official “Ragnarok” Instagram account revealed Season 3 was in production on April 8, 2022. Recently the filminly for the third season wrapped up. However, Netflix hasn’s revealed the release date yet. Although the third season is in post-production, it doesn’t appear that we will be getting it by the end of 2022. So, we can make a guess that the third season might land on Netflix in the first quarter of 2023.

The first two seasons of “Ragnarok” have both been fairly short and sweet — just six episodes each. We assume that the third and final season will follow the same suit.

What is the plot of Ragnarok Season 3?

Ragnarok Season 2 concluded when Fjor claims that he is in possession of the sole thing that can end Magne’s life, with Laurits on the edge of being killed. As he and Ran prepare to depart, Magne materializes in front of them and attacks them with Mjölnir, but they manage to flee. Ran and Fjor watch from the coast as Laurits releases Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent, into the water to conclude the episode. The tale will be wrapped up in the third season, which will also tie up all the loose ends.

Ragnarok season two picked up right where season one’s finale left off, continuing Magne’s fight against Jutul Industries and the evil giants who run the corporation.

Unfortunately, everyone’s favourite reincarnated god lost his powers earlier on this season. And it wasn’t until Magne forged Mjolnir, Thor’s legendary hammer, that he was finally able to get a handle on his gifts.

In the season-two finale, Magne rained down some righteous lightning and thunder on Fjor and Ran’s car. But annoyingly, the two Jutuls ended up surviving to fight another day (season three, basically).

As if that wasn’t dramatic enough for y’all, the final episode of season two ended with Laurits kissing his young Jörmungandr snake. No, it’s not as dirty as it sounds, but it is odd, though. And now, with the World Serpent unleashed in the Norwegian fjords, Laurits has become a major player in the war to come.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Herman Tømmerass, who plays Fjor Jutul, talked about his hopes for his character if there is a third season. “I’ve always felt like the bad guys are the most interesting characters,” he said.

There is a lot left as far as the story for season three is concerned. Will Magne able to save the town from Jutul family? It is going to be an ultimate battle between Fjor and Magne. With so many questions still unanswered, Ragnarok Season 3 is going to to full of drama and thrill.
