The fourth season of FX’s popular crime drama series Mayans MC aired on FX from April 19 on June 14, 2022. Debuted in Sep 2018, the show takes place in the same fictional universe as Sons of Anarchy and deals with the Sons’ rivals-turned-allies, the Mayans Motorcycle Club. In the fourth season, EZ embraces his position as a leader of the Santo Padre. Over the course of season four, he became more violent, killing several people, and showing no signs of humanity. FX renewed Mayans MC Season 5
FX has renewed the action-drama series for a fifth season. The network officially announced season five during the team’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022.
“I keep forgetting to tell everybody and no one here knows this, but we just got picked up for a season 5,” creator Elgin James confirmed during the panel. “We knew a long time ago that it was going to happen, but we wanted to tell you guys at Comic-Con.”

In addition to another season of Mayans MC., co-creator Elgin James has signed a new multi-year deal with 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios.
Mayans MC Season 5 release date
The network has confirmed that the fifth season is coming in 2023. The exact premiere date is unknown. However, we can make a guess based on the release schedule of the previous four seasons.
For the first two seasons, Mayans MC followed Sep to November release schedule. The third season was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It debuted on the network on Mar 16, 2021, and concluded on May 11, 2021. Season 4 debuted on Apr 19, 2022, and concluded airing on June 14, 2022.
In a recent post on Twitter, Pardo confirmed that there are two more months of filming left. It means that the filming will wrap up by April end. Since Mayans MC is not one of those shows that airs all its episodes at once, we can expect the next season to premiere soon once the filming wraps up.
Mayans MC has generally taken around a year to air new seasons after the announcement. Now, that the network has renewed the crime drama series, we can expect Season 5 to premiere in May or June 2023.

What Will be The Plot Of Mayans MC Season 5?
The fourth season of the series saw EZ taking over as the leader of Santo Padre’s bikers gang. Over the course of season four, he became more violent, killing several people, and showing no signs of humanity. EZ believes that the Mayans should start a business relationship with the drug lord Soledad. While all this happened, an unknown arsonist burned a warehouse containing all the Mayans’ cocaine supply.
One can expect a war in the fifth season after multiple conflicts. There are going to be enemies causing big problems for Reyes’ brothers.
Who Will Be Cast In Mayans MC Season 5?
Pardo (Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes) and Cardenas (Angel Reyes) are definitely returning for the fifth season of Mayans’ MC. With Bishop landing taking the position of new vice president of the Santo Padre charter, Michael Irby is expected to have a larger role in the next season.
Danny Pino, Sarah Bolger, Emilio Rivera, Carla Baratta, Vincent Vargas, and Edward James Olmos should also return unless there are some unexpected changes or a time jump.
After his untimely death in the fourth season, Richard Cabral is unlikely to return. We may also see some additional Sons of Anarchy cast members in season 5.
