When will Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 Premiere on Netflix?

The most recent information regarding The Lincoln Lawyer season 3 is the official confirmation that Netflix has decided to renew the series for a third season. The third season of The Lincoln Lawyer will be based on the fifth book, Gods of Guilt, according to co-creator and showrunner Ted Humphrey.

The renewal occurred less than a month after the release of The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 part 2 on August 3. According to Netflix, the two parts of the second season further solidified the success of the original series, garnering 40 million views and ranking in the top 10 across more than 80 countries.

“The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again,” showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez told Netflix.

As per Netflix, The Lincoln Lawyer has officially begun production on Season 3 in Jan 2024. While no release date has been set, the streaming service will likely make an announcement soon. If we have to assume, based on previous seasons’ release dates, The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 could be released in early 2025.

What will be the plot of Lincoln Lawyer Season 3?

As previously stated, The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, will serve as the source material for the third season. To refresh your memory, The Brass Verdict, the second book in the series, served as the basis for Season 1, and The Fifth Witness, the fourth book, was a major inspiration for Season 2.

The official novel synopsis for The Gods of Guilt, which will serve as the basis for the upcoming season, is provided below so that fans of The Lincoln Lawyer can get a sneak peek at what’s to come, even though the precise plot details have not yet been revealed to the public.

The official synopsis reads:

“Mickey Haller gets the text, “Call me ASAP — 187,” and the California penal code for murder immediately gets his attention. Murder cases have the highest stakes and the biggest paydays, and they always mean Haller has to be at the top of his game.

When Mickey learns that the victim was his own former client, a prostitute he thought he had rescued and put on the straight and narrow path, he knows he is on the hook for this one. He soon finds out that she is back in LA and back in life. Far from saving her, Mickey may have been the one who put her in danger.

Haunted by the ghosts of his past, Mickey must work tirelessly and bring all his skill to bear on a case that could mean his ultimate redemption or proof of his ultimate guilt.”
