jamtara season 3 release date

Jamtara Season 3: The popular Netflix Indian crime drama is not returning with a third season this year. Here’s everything you need to know!

Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega, an Indian crime drama series created & directed by Soumendra Padhi has been one of the most-talked series on Netflix. It is inspired by real-life events, based on the uncontrolled expansion of phishing business and cybercrime in India. Premiered on Netflix on 10 January 2020, the show has had two seasons released so far. Season 2 came out on Sept 23, 2022.

The plot revolves around a group of youths running a sophisticated phishing racket until their success draws the interest of a police superintendent as well as a corrupt politician.

And now, as viewers anxiously anticipate the premiere of Jamtara Season 3, the show will carry on delving into the dark realm of internet phishing schemes in the small town of Jamtara. While a number of stunning incidents in Season 2 kept viewers on the edge of their seats, there is a real sense of excitement for the upcoming season.

So when does it premiere? Has it been renewed? What will it have in store for us? Well, in order to know, keep on reading.

Will there be Jamtara Season 3?

In an interview with Money Control in Sep 2022, director Soumendra Padhi said, “It would be great to do season 3.” However, he also stated that the renewal depends on how the second season performs on the streamer.

As of November 14, 2023, Netflix hasn’t announced the third season. It’s been more than a year since we last saw new episodes on Netflix. Moreover, the second season of the show wasn’t received as good as the first one.

In March 2023, Netflix renewed five of its Indian originals and Jamtara wasn’t there. So, it seems unlikely that we will get another season of the crime drama.

Is there a release date for Jamtara Season 3?

Jamtara premiered on Netflix on 10 January 2020. Season 2 came out on Sept. 23, 2022. The gap between the release of seasons 1 and 2 was around two years. Given this pattern and the lack of news on the production of season 3, it’s safe to assume that it will not be released in 2023.

In fact, Netflix hasn’t announced the third season yet. We will be in a better position to guess the release date, once Netflix officially renews the show. So, it’s a waiting game now.

Jamtara Season 3 Plot

Jamtara is actually a district in Jharkhand, India. It is a hub of Internet scams and phishing scams in India. Jamtara is the home of banks and insurance organizations frauds that people like us encounter on a regular basis. Every year, fake banks and insurance companies agents dupe millions of people in India. Netflix’s crime drama series Jamtara is based on these cases.
