Given the continuing uncertainty over Angrezi Medium re-release, the makers have decided to release the film digitally.
After the hiatus of two years, Irrfan Khan made a comeback to the big screen with ‘Angrezi Medium’. Released on 13 March 2020, the film got off to average opening as it collected Rs 4.03 crore on its first day. However, soon the film was pulled out from theatres due to lockdown. With uncertainty over its re-release, the makers have released the film digitally. Yes, Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan starrer ‘Angrezi Medium’ is now out of Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

Irrfan Khan shared the digital premiere details of the film on his social media accounts. In his tweet, he shared the link of Hotstar.

Director Homi Adajania had earlier said that they would consider re-releasing Angrezi Medium in theatres once the pandemic was over and it was safer. However, given the continuing uncertainty, the makers have decided to release the film digitally.

‘Angrezi Medium’ showcases the life of a father-daughter duo, Champak Bansal (Irrfan Khan) and Tarika Bansal (Radhika Madan). The film is about how Champak goes to any length in order to fulfil Tarika’s dream of studying in London.
Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Angrezi Medium also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Tripathi. It is a spin-off to the 2017 super hit film Hindi Medium.
Released on 13 March, Angrezi Medium opened to mixed reviews from critics. However, Irrfan Khan and Deepak Dobriyal’s performances were applauded.
