Episode 8 titled The Lords of the Tides is written by Eileen Shim and directed by Geeta V. Patel. The name of the episode refers to the main title borne by the head of House Velaryon.
Lord of the Tides is a title held by the ruler of the stronghold of Driftmark in Blackwater Bay. The title is traditionally held by the head of House Velaryon, along with the title of Master of Driftmark. So, it seems that the next episode will focus on who is going to be the ultimate Lord.
With a runtime of 67 minutes, this episode will be the longest of the season along with the sixth episode, The Princess and the Queen.
In the trailer, King Viserys I (Paddy Considine) and Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint) appear to be in poor health. We will see one more time jump in the next episode. It means the royal children will look quite different. After another jump of roughly six years, the Targaryen and Velaryon heirs will likely be in their early adulthood.
