After the success of the first season, Hotstar is back with the second season of its hit thriller web series ‘Hostages’. Hostages Season 2 plot and trailer
The trailer released by Disney+ Hotstar suggests that the storyline resumes from where it left in the first season. In the first season, Surgeon Dr. Mira Anand’s (Tisca Chopra) family is taken hostage a night before she was supposed to operate a chief minister. The is ordered to assassinate her patient for her family’s safety. The first season ended on a cliffhanger.
In the season 2 trailer, we witness that CM Handa (Dalip Tahil) is indeed alive and Prithvi Singh (Ronit Roy) has kidnapped the politician. However, a chain of events ends up making Prithvi a hostage himself. Will he get out of this situation? The tagline of season 2 is “Khel ab palat chuka hai”.
Hostages Season 2 Cast
Season 2 introduces a new set of characters. Each member has their own agenda and reason for being involved in CM Handa’s kidnapping. Coming to the cast, Ronit Bose Roy reprises his role as protagonist SP Prithvi Singh. Also returning for this season are actors Dalip Tahil, Surya Sharma, Aashim Gulati, Anangsha Biswas, and Mohan Kapur. Tisca Chopra will not star in this season.
Divya Dutta, Dino Morea, Shibani Dandekar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Shilpa Shukla, Amit Sial, and Kanwaljit Singh have joined the cast for this season. Dino Morea has a pivotal role and he is the lead antagonist.
Hostages Season 2 release date
‘Hostages’ is produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Banijay Asia. The second season will premiere on September 9 on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Sachin Kumar Krishan has directed the second season. Sudhir Mishra, who helmed the first season, has taken the role of Series Director.
