Foundation Season 3: Production on the third season of the Apple TV+ sci-fi series Foundation, is officially underway in Prague.
Foundation is a popular science fiction television series based on Isaac Asimov’s iconic book series of the same name. The show has taken viewers on a breathtaking voyage through a far-off future in which the fate of galactic civilization is in doubt.
Foundation premiered on Apple TV+ on September 24, 2021. It tells the “thousand-year saga of The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.”
The second season of the series premiered on Apple TV+ on July 14, 2023. We already have some big updates regarding its third season. The show’s third season is currently in production in Prague, and it will soon begin airing, reintroducing viewers to the incredible world of Isaac Asimov’s epic masterpiece. When will Foundation Season 3 premiere?
Though Apple TV+ hasn’t officially announced the third season, in early June, The Prague Reporter suggested that filming had actually started on the series’ third season at the end of May. As per the report, filming for Foundation in the Czech Republic is slated to run in Prague throughout the summer and into early fall.
We don’t know when the third season of Foundation will come out, but if post-production takes about the same time as season two, it might premiere around mid-2024.
What will Foundation Season 3 be about?
There is no official plot for Foundation Season 3, but it is expected to expand on the vast tapestry of narratives developed in prior seasons. Viewers will see how Hari Seldon’s psychohistory continues to grow and what it means for the future of the galactic empire as the story takes place in several locations and time zones.
The capacity of the Foundation to fascinate viewers with its web of riddles is one of its defining characteristics. Therefore, Season 3 is expected to provide some closure while also posing fresh mysteries that will have viewers anxiously formulating theories.
There are seven Foundation novels in total. Even though the TV show is said to be quite different from Asimov’s original work, there is enough material for Apple to continue the project beyond season three if they choose to do so.
