That’s right guys! Varun Dhawan to step into Govinda’s shoes Aankhen 2.
The 1993 blockbuster Aankhen featuring Govinda and Chunky Pandey in lead roles is set to be remade again and the best part is that Varun Dhawan to step into Govinda’s shoes for Aankhen 2. On the other hand, a newcomer will play the role of Chunky Pandey, whom producer Pahlaj Nihalani discovered on a flight. The original Bunnu and Munnu- Govinda and Chunky Pandey may be seen in cameos roles in the sequel.
While we are still waiting for an official announcement on the much-awaited sequel, a source close to all this development reveals, “Aankhen 2 will take the story forward. The main characters Bunnu and Munnu will remain the same. The actors will change.” The film will go on floors in the second half of 2016. We are still waiting to hear some news about who will be the two leading ladies in the remake.
