Cobra Kai is a martial arts comedy-drama TV series and a sequel to the original The Karate Kid films by Robert Mark Kamen. After two seasons, Cobra Kai, which was originally a YouTube original series, moved to Netflix and achieved widespread global popularity. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the entire series received a 95% approval rating. On Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, the series holds an average rating of 71 out of 100.
The series stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, who reprise their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence from the 1984 film The Karate Kid and its sequels, The Karate Kid Part II (1986) and The Karate Kid Part III (1989). The series is set 34 years after the events of the first Karate Kid.

When will Cobra Kai Season 6 release on Netflix?
Netflix announced the renewal of Cobra Kai for its sixth and final season on January 20, 2023.
Show creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg announced the news in an official statement to fans on January 20, saying: “Reacquainting the world with the Karate Kid universe has been our humble honour.
“Making Cobra Kai has allowed us to join the same hallowed dojo once inhabited by the great Robert Mark Kamen, John Avildsen, Jerry Weintraub, and all the amazing original cast members.”
Along with the announcement they also appreciated the love and support shown by the audience towards the show,
“This fandom is the BEST on the planet and we hope to be telling more Karate Kid stories with you down the line. Because as we all know, Cobra Kai never dies.”
Before signing the statement with Cobra Kai’s iconic mantra, they added that season six is set to be the “the biggest” season yet.
According to the Deadline the season’s production was set to begin in May. However, the WGA strikes delayed the production. Though the WGA strikes ended on Sep 27, there is no update on when the filming will start.
Taking into account the time needed for editing and post-production and considering that the production starts early in 2024, a late 2024 release date looks most probable.

Cobra Kai takes place more than 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel and Johnny — but now their families also are involved. There is no official update on how many episodes will be there in the final season. However, going by the history, we might get around 10 episodes, just like the previous seasons.
