The first two seasons featured 16 episodes each while the third season comprises 19 episodes. The CW hasn’t announced the episode count for the current season. However, one can expect at least 16 episodes for this season as well.

In episode 8, the disciplinary committee was about to expel Spencer when Jabari tells the jury he was the one who stole the trophy. The episode ended on a bittersweet note because Spencer didn’t get expelled from the school and it was all because of D’Angelo. He told the committee that he, as the principal of South Crenshaw School, encouraged the pranks and the committee did accept that. So, D’Angelo gets fired from his job and he is not the principal of the school anymore.

Coop (Bre-Z) and Patience (Chelsea Tavares) take a big step in their relationship, but things don’t go as smoothly as they had anticipated, and Olivia (Samantha Logan) offers to help. Layla’s (Greta Oniegou) dad give her a touching graduation gift that brings up a lot of emotions she wasn’t expecting. Meanwhile, Laura (Monet Mazur) is at her wits end and steps in to help Billy (Taye Diggs).
