Ranvir Singh and Amitabh Bachchan to take part in Road Safety Week. Yes! that is true. Road safety is a major concern and all of us should be aware of the consequences of it. As per the survey which was conducted by the Government of India, 400 people die daily in India from the road accidents. To create the awareness, Bollywood has joined hands with Traffic police to make citizens respect the safety rules.
Ranveer Singh Kickstarts the Road Safety Week
Famous Actor, Ranveer Singh kicked off the first bike rally of Road Safety week at the Thane RTO with Thane Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, Joint Transport Commissioner P.V Mahajan and Deputy RTO’s Hemangi Patil and Shyam Lohi.
Ranveer was available for almost 3 hours, made cops to dance to his chartbuster songs from “Bajirao Mastani” and urges bike or two-wheeler riders to always wear a helmet.
Road safety week is running its 28th year and will be from January 9th to 22nd. Ranveer Singh is one from many of the famous personalities, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan will promote the digitization of the transport system by speaking about e-challans during a visit to the city’s CCTV monitoring office.
During the event, Ranveer got so involved that he even stopped a bike rider who was not wearing a helmet. The rider was involved in the Bike rally and Ranveer insisted him to wear a helmet if he wants to be part of this program. Ranveer added “To follow traffic regulations strictly because carelessness can lead to the loss of lives. We need strict rules for the reduction in the number of accidents and their resultant deaths”.
This step will help in many ways and involvement from the Bollywood industry will make people follow the rules. They are the idols for many and will follow what they insist them to follow. People are more curious to see their idols on road and to be a part of this evolution. Hope it will end with an expected result.
