Ranbir Kapoor will be portraying the role of Sanjay Dutt in the biopic which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
Sanjay Dutt Biopic is one of the most highly anticipated flicks. The lead role of Sanjay Dutt in the movie will be played by Ranbir Kapoor. While the movie has been in scripting stage for quite a while now, Rajkumar Hirani has confirmed that the film will go on floors around July this year and is expected to release around Christmas next year.
Currently, Hirani is busy with the promotions of Saala Khadoos and during an interview he spoke about the bad phase of Ranbir Kapoor’s career. He said-
“Eventually it is an actor who has to be right for the role and I think Ranbir is the perfect choice. Ranbir Kapoor is a great actor, rather fantastic actor. Some films succeed, some don’t, it is just a matter of one hit for Ranbir and everyone will start labeling him as a big star.”
Hirani also talked about how he got the idea to make a film on Sanjay Dutt’s life “I was editing PK, when Sanjay Dutt narrated me the story of his life. He used to narrate the incidents to me as a friend and that is when the idea to make a biopic came in my mind.”
