Big news for all DC fans out there. Gal Gadot starrer Wonder Woman 1984 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The digital streaming giant brings the exclusive digital premiere of the highly anticipated superhero drama on May 15, 2021. The film is available to Indian audiences in four languages – English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Directed by Patty Jenkins again and Gadot returning to the titular role, Wonder Woman 1984 is a sequel to the record-breaking Wonder Woman released in 2017. It is the ninth instalment in the DC Extended Universe and is set against the backdrop of the 1984 Cold War. The film follows Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and her past love Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) as they face off against the petrified Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).
Wonder Woman 1984 released in Indian on Christmas Eve, December 24 when theatres were running with 50% capacity. But, due to the pandemic, many couldn’t watch the film in the theatres. Now, DC fans can enjoy Wonder Woman 1984 from the comforts of their homes.

Wonder Woman 1984 was initially scheduled for Nov 2019 release. However, it got postponed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the United States, it finally released in the theatres and HBO Max on Dec 25, 2020. Before its release in the United States, the film had its premiere in China and UK on December 16, 2020.
