The Mandalorian is almost back on our screens after a two-year hiatus. The first live-action series in the Star Wars franchise debuted on Nov 12, 2019, and has so far received two seasons with the third set to premiere in March 2023. The upcoming season of the Star Wars show is expected to continue the story of Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and Baby Yoda aka Grogu as they head to Mandalore to face Bo-Katan.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Premiere: Episode 1 Release Date & Time on Disney Plus
The official release date for the third season was announced at the Brazil Comic-Con. We’ll see the return of Din Djarin and Baby Yoda on March 1, 2023.
The series returns with a new season more than two years after the release of its second season in 2020. In addition to several accolades, the popular Disney+ series has also taken home 14 Emmys and one Screen Actors Guild Award. Additionally, The Mandalorian received a Grammy nomination. Therefore, season 3 is anticipated to deliver the same and much more. The makers have assured the fans that they won’t be let down, putting their minds at ease.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1 will premiere at 3:00 am ET (12:00 am PT) on Wednesday, March 1 on Disney Plus.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Schedule and Episode Count
Like the previous two seasons, this season is also going to have 8 episodes. We will get a new episode weekly on Wednesday with the season finale set to release on April 19, 2023. Here’s the release schedule:

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1 runtime
The first episode is rumoured to have a surprisingly short runtime, clocking in at 35 minutes and 16 seconds, which is the shortest premiere for any Star Wars project.
What will be the plot of The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1?
The struggle for the Darksaber will be the main storyline around which Season 3 will revolve. This fabled Mandalorian weapon represents power, and whoever wields it is legitimately in charge of Mandalore.
At the conclusion of Season 2, Din Djarin successfully used the Darksaber to defeat Moff Gideon. The Darksaber was then offered to Bo-Katan, but she turned it down. Also, she needs to defeat Din Djarin in the battle to obtain the sword and win the kingdom.
That will be a problem in Season 3. though. Din Djarin doesn’t want to be in charge, but he can’t just throw the Darksaber into space. Additionally, Mandalorian politics may be a significant theme of the third season.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for season 3 of The Mandalorian: “The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
