  • The last episode of the second season of the super hit TV series was released on Dec 18, 2020.

It’s been more than two years since we last saw our superhero The Mandalorian on our screens. Any Star Wars fan would tell you how exceptionally amazing is The Mandalorian as a space action series. It is a well-made continuation of Star Wars. After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. It follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. As The Mandalorian is set to return for its third season, here’s everything you need to know about it.

The Mandalorian Season 3: Who will be in the cast? (New and continuing characters)

Two lead characters, ‘The Mandalorian’ a.k.a ‘Din Djarin’ played by Pedro Pascal and ‘Grogu’ a.k.a ‘Baby Yoda’, will continue playing their respective roles.

Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon will have a more prominent role in the third season than in previous ones. Also returning are Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Carson Teva.

In March 2022, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Christopher Lloyd stars in a guest appearance in the new season. In May 2022 it was revealed that Tim Meadows would appear as the character Babu Frik from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) along with other members of his species

The Mandalorian Season 3: Plot and Storyline

Looks like Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) has a new probe next season. The Book of Boba Fett sets up a new season. In the fifth episode, Mando searches for the remaining Mandalorians. When he finds them, the Armorer teaches him how to use the Darksaber, while Paz Vizsla instantly fights him for it. Mando wins the battle but admits to Armorer that he took his mask off during the Season Two finale. The Armorer dismisses him from the clan, saying his only chance at reprieve is by visiting the mines of Mandalore—which don’t exist anymore.

The final episodes of Boba Fett set up the premise for the next season of The Mandalorian as Din and Grogu were reunited and, in the final scene, flew away together.

The season picks up after the events of The Book of Boba Fett (2021), with the Mandalorian and Grogu travelling to Mandalore so Din Djarin can redeem himself for his transgressions of removing his helmet.

Speaking to People, Giancarlo Esposito has also hinted at what’s in store during The Mandalorian season three, saying: “We’re living in a universe that is huge and [that has] so much to explore.

“So I think this show is going to start to lay the groundwork for the depth and breadth that’s going to come in season three and season four, where you’re really gonna start to get answers.”

This statement clarifies that there is so much to come in the series and there are going to be various unexpected moments. More bug spin-offs are on their way. Also, they may connect to the main show anyhow. Season three may set both of them up directly.
