The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth Release Date on Netflix
On January 29, Netflix released a poster for the documentary, revealing the release date. The Netflix original documentary series, The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth, was set to premiere on February 23, 2024. The series will consist of four episodes that uncover all the truths buried underneath the murder mystery.
A division bench of Justices Revati Mohite-Dere and Justice Manjusha A Deshpande heard CBI’s plea on Thursday, Feb 22, 2024, after CBI approached the high court seeking a stay on the release of the docuseries.
Netflix on Thursday told the Bombay High Court that it will not air the series on February 23 on its platform. The streaming platform has confirmed to the court that it will wait till February 29 when the court will hear a plea by the Central Bureau of Investigation against the same.
So, there is no definite release date for The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth. The final decision will be taken on Feb 29, 2024.

“The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth” is based on the murder and unexplained disappearance of Indrani Mukerjea’s daughter Sheena Bora in 2012. The nation was shocked when INX Media’s CEO, Indrani Mukerjea, was accused of murdering her own blood. The series presumes its share of revealing the truth regarding the criminal case of the ex-journalist who was given bail in 2022.

More About Sheena Bora Murder Case
In 2022, almost seven years after being detained by the Mumbai Police on suspicion of killing her daughter Sheena Bora, Indrani Mukerjea was granted bail by the Supreme Court. Following her former driver, Shyamvar Rai, disclosing his role in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora, she was put under arrest.
The body of Sheena Bora was buried in a village in the Raigad district, and the police claimed that she was Indrani’s daughter from a previous relationship. The body was discovered in a decomposed state in May 2012, but its identity was unknown until Rai’s claimed revelation in 2015.
Even though there have been a lot of unanswered questions for ten years, the streamer will not let the viewers down and will portray the uncovering of the truth in every way possible.
