‘Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire, a high-octane action thriller’ directed by Prashanth Neel, debuted in theatres on December 22, 2023, to the delight of fans, audiences, and cinema enthusiasts. Salaar has a grand release at the box office. Despite its clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, the Prabhas starrer actioner is roaring at the box office. Where to watch Salaar digitally? Salaar OTT Platform
Though several streaming platforms were in the line to bag the digital streaming rights of Salaar, Netflix has locked the deal with the makers of Salaar. As per the reports, the global streaming giant has shelled out more than Rs 150 Crore to acquire the streaming rights of multiple languages. Salaar will be Netflix’s exclusive release on OTT.
When will Salaar be available for streaming? Salaar OTT Release Date
According to reports, the makers of Salaar have reportedly signed a deal with Netflix for the movie to be available for streaming on the platform within 45 days after its release in theaters. Considering the film premiered on December 22, 2023, it is expected to be available on Netflix around the first week of February 2024. However, there is no official update about it.
However, across social media, a fresh wave of rumors has started suggesting that the OTT streaming date for Salaar is set for January 12th on Netflix. In fact, a poster of the movie is also circulating on social media, suggesting that Prabhas starrer will be released in multiple languages on Netflix.
However, such an early OTT release looks impossible. Practically, it is not possible as Pan India films will not go ahead for a three-week OTT release. Moreover, also in the Hindi market, National Multiplexes Chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis will not screen a film if it opts for a three or four-week OTT release.

The Prabhas-starring movie created history and turned into the biggest Indian movie debut of 2023. The first-day worldwide gross of Salaar exceeded that of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, which brought in ₹116 crore, and Shah Rukh Khan’s two 2023 blockbuster films, Jawan and Pathaan, which took home ₹106 crore and ₹129.6 crore, respectively. The movie made ₹170+ crore on its first day of release. In its first week, Prabhas starrer has grossed Rs 500+ Crore worldwide.
