So much so that CBS promptly renewed the police procedural for a second season not long after the first ended. However, the wait is almost over, as NCIS Hawaii will return with even more riveting episodes with a brand new season.

In a crossover premiere event, CBS will simultaneously launch NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i into their new seasons, with both shows’ casts collaborating in a manhunt for a homicidal felon. NCIS will begin its 20th season with a two-hour debut, and NCIS: Hawai’i will start its second season. In simple words, a two-hour crossover episode airing from 9 pm to 11 pm will be regarded as the season’s premiere for NCIS Season 20 and NCIS Hawai’i Season 2.

NCIS: Hawai’i season 2 will premiere on September 19 at 10:00 p.m. The first episode is titled ‘Prisoners’ Dilemma’. This episode concludes a crossover event that begins on NCIS season 20 episode 1.

The new episodes will continue to air on Monday nights at 10:00 p.m, just after the new episodes of of NCIS. Therefore, fans may watch both seasons back-to-back and won’t need to commit a new day or time to keep up with the show.

NCIS: Hawaiʻi Season 2 Plot

The crossover episode will reportedly lead into the two series. The cast members will explore together over two hours. The search for a dangerous suspect reveals a sophisticated network and a broader nefarious scheme that will drive the D.C. team to Hawai’i in a race to avert the next large-scale attack.

The crossover event concludes at 10 p.m. with the Season 2 debut of NCIS: Hawai’i. Tennant’s team, along with NCIS agents Nick Torres and Jessica Knight, track The Raven’s whereabouts on the island of Oahu and discover his plans to attack RIMPAC (The Rim of the Pacific Exercises), the largest international maritime warfare exercise in the world, in the Prisoners’ Dilemma pilot episode.

For Season 2, NCIS: Hawai’i has unveiled a teaser. However,  It didn’t hint at any plot points, as expected. Nevertheless, it stated that the first episode of Season 2 would occur during a crossover event.

How many episodes will be there?

The creators have not revealed the precise amount of episodes. However, the season is likely to stay similar to the previous season, with at least 22 episodes with an average runtime of 44 to 45 minutes. The network did, however, give the names and synopsis for the first three episodes.
