Will There Be A High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 5?
After the first three seasons’ success, HSMTMTS was renewed for a fourth season. Production on the fourth season of the show concluded in December 2022. The fourth season arrived on Disney+ on Aug 9, 2023.
As much as we’d adore and love continuing to witness these young individuals conquer the world through their infectious tunes and captivating performances, the official title of HSMTMTS Season 4 is ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Final Season.’ Unfortunately, this means the conclusion of the Disney+ series, at least for the time being.
On June 21, 2023, creator Tim Federle posted a final season announcement to Instagram, saying, “After 4 years at East High, it’s time to graduate. This will be our final, endgame season. This show brought the most extraordinary cast — and crew, and collaborators — to my life. To the fans who embraced our super-meta series: we ‘don’t not love you.’ We can’t wait to share our epic 4th act with you all. SEE YOU ALL AT GRADUATION!”

Is High School Musical 4: The Reunion a real movie?
Unfortunately, there is currently no official production of High School Musical 4 taking place. The video on Disney+ is actually a segment from Season 4 of ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.’ Towards the end of the clip, the camera reveals a meta twist, showcasing the filming of a fictitious ‘High School Musical 4’ within the universe of ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
So, the movie titled High School Musical 4: The Reunion. But it’s actually a fake movie at the center of the final season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. So, you, unfortunately, won’t be able to see it in full (in theaters or on Disney Channel and Disney+).
