Like previous seasons, we will get a new episode of Heartland every Sunday on CBC and CBC Gem. So, the next episode titled “Taking the Reins” will go live on CBC and CBC Gem on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 7 p.m. ET. There are a total of 10 episodes in the new season. The titles of the first four episodes have been revealed.

In the second episode of the season titled Taking the Reins, Amy and Jack retrain Edwin’s horse for carriage racing, bringing Amy and Edwin closer. Logan takes on his first client horse. Election night arrives for Lou just as the family faces a difficult loss.
The title suggests that Logan’s journey will be the main focus of the upcoming episode as he takes on his first client horse.
The official synopsis for season 17 reads:
“In Season 17, Amy (Amber Marshall) and the rest of the Heartland family know better than most that while dreams can sometimes come true, more often life takes us in unexpected directions. The new season is all about embracing the unexpected. It’s about new experiences and taking the path less travelled.
