Harley Quinn is an American adult animated dark comedy superhero television series based on the DC Comics of the same name created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. In late August, it was announced that the series had been renewed for a fourth season ahead of its third season finale, which premiered on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
The story follows the misadventures of Harley Quinn and her best friend and lover, Poison Ivy, after leaving her boyfriend, the Joker. The show has been well received by most of the audience. Therefore, it was only natural and easy for the network to continue the series for another season. The thrill, plot points, and character arcs have been a great source of entertainment for the viewers, bringing it back for another season.

The official Twitter handle of HBO Max also shared the renewal status, quoting, “Everyone’s favourite maid of mischief, Harley Quinn, is coming back for another season. #HarleyQuinn”!
Sarah Peters, who has written for the show since Season 1 and serves as a consulting producer, has been promoted to executive producer and will take over duties of the showrunner from creators Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.

Harley Quinn Season 4 Plot
While the plot for Harley Quinn season 4 is unknown at this time, there are several storyline lines for the show to pick up in the following chapter. Season 3 had been following Quinn and Ivy as they wrapped up their Eat Bang Kill! Tour and return to Gotham as the new power couple. Together with their crew, they worked to improve themselves while advancing Ivy’s goal of transforming Gotham into an Eden paradise.
If the series is picked up for more episodes, the showrunners have expressed a desire to discuss Red Hood and Power Girl. Hopefully, despite a shift in leadership, those wishes will come true in the following season. Both might provide some compelling narratives.
