Grown-ish is a sitcom and is a spin-off of the ABC show Black-ish. It was created by Kenya Barris and Larry Wilmore. The single-camera comedy follows the children of the Johnson family as they start college and embark on their adult lives, only to rapidly learn that not everything goes as planned once they leave the nest.
The sitcom has enjoyed five successful seasons, with the sixth set to return next year for its remaining episodes (Part 2). While the sixth season of the show hasn’t concluded yet, viewers are already wondering if there will be more. Will the show’s sixth season mark its end? If not, what can we expect from season 7? Grown-ish Season 7 Release Date
Unfortunately, Grown-ish is getting ready to say goodbye. The sixth season of the series will be its final. Season 6 ran in two parts, the first of which premiered this summer. Season 6B will air in 2024.
Even though the show had the potential for Grown-ish season 7, the creators decided to call it off after the sixth season.
When revealing that season 6 would be the last, creator and executive producer Kenya Barris said in a statement,
“We’ve spent nearly a decade telling our stories through the -ish series and to say it has been an amazing journey would be an understatement. To be able to watch Yara, Marcus and our entire Grown-ish family grow up in front of (and in many ways alongside) us over these past several years has been both a joy and an honor. From the stories we’ve told to the talent we’ve fostered and, most importantly, the memories made, I could not be more proud of everything we’ve accomplished and the -ish family I’ve been a part of.”
When will Grown-ish Season 6 Part 2 premiere?
The show’s last season is split into two parts. The first part premiered on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. The last episode of the first part aired on Aug 23, 2023. The second instalment of the last season will be released in 2024.
We don’t yet know the precise release date for Grown-ish Season 6 Part 2, but if previous seasons are any indication, then the last set of episodes will premiere in January 2024.

Grown-ish premiered in 2018. It originally followed Yara Shahidi‘s character Zoey as she left home to attend college. Season 5 saw Marcus Scribner take up the mantle from Shahidi as Zoey’s younger brother Junior, who started his first year at Cal U.
