Chicago P.D. is a famous American police procedural action drama tv series. It was created as part of Wolf Entertainment’s Chicago franchise by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead. On January 8, 2014, the series debuted on NBC as a midseason replacement. The show follows uniformed patrol officers and the Intelligence Unit of the Chicago Police Department’s 21st District as they hunt the offenders of the city’s most prominent street infractions.

Following the news of all Chicago One series in 2020, three more seasons of this series were also renewed. The first episode of the ninth season aired on September 22, 2021. However, there is good news for the show’s fans as the tenth season is scheduled to debut this September.

When will Chicago P.D. season 10 be released? What does the upcoming season have in store? Who is the cast? Well, in order to find out, keep reading.

Chicago PD Season 10 Release Date

Chicago P.D. season 10 returns to television on Wednesday, September 21, at 10 p.m. ET/PT in the United States. However, there is currently no release date for UK audiences. Also, Chicago P.D. will air as part of One Chicago on NBC immediately after Chicago Med at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Chicago Fire at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

While the pattern makes it easier to bear with, there is only so much binge-watching of previous seasons that viewers can do until the new episodes and tales arrive. Therefore, the anticipation among fans is increasing as the season 10 premiere approaches in just a few weeks.

Chicago PD Season 9 Finale Recap

The final episode of season 9, “Me and You,” begins with confirmation that Upton is alright. She was involved in an explosion, but it wasn’t apparent from the cliffhanger how badly injured she would be. It becomes revealed that her only motivation is to get Escano, who is still at large. Anna Avalos and Voight are unable to communicate. Because she found out he was keeping information from her. Voight was frantic to bring Anna Avalos in.

He used every favor he could think of to try and find Escano. Eventually, he succeeded, just not in the way he had anticipated. Escano was found shot and bleeding to death on the floor of his bakery by Voight and Halstead.

Escano claimed that Anna stabbed him with his dying breath, putting Voight in the unenviable situation of having to arrest someone he considered a confidante. Anna had clearly lost trust in him and had chosen to leave the reservation to protect herself.

Chicago PD Season 10 Plot

We can anticipate that her death’s aftermath will play a significant role in how season 10’s tale begins, particularly for Voight, who had pledged to keep Anna and her baby safe and provide for them after Escano’s cartel was brought down. As the One Chicago drama undergoes a substantial cast shakeup over the season, it will also have to contend with some significant changes in the Intelligence Unit.

Undoubtedly, that will develop over a number of episodes as the authors develop an exit plot and the surviving characters cope with the death of a second team member. One only needs to look back at Antonio Dawson’s departure to realize how rapidly intelligence may move on.

Chicago P.D. season 10 Cast

We are going to see a lot of characters in the upcoming series. Here’s a look at the star cast:

  • Jason Beghe
  • Patrick Flueger
  • LaRoyce Hawkins
