The much-awaited third season of Prakash Jha and Bobby Deol’s web series Aashram is now available on MX Player. Aashram is highly awaited, like MNF. In addition to Bobby Deol, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Esha Gupta, Aditi Pohankar, Tridha Chaudhary, and Anurita Jha play significant roles.

Pammi (Aaditi Pohankar), who Babaji had sexually molested, departs his Aashram to exact retribution in season 2. In the meantime, many subplots examine Babaji’s hunger for power as he begins to influence more political parties and gains the capacity to alter anything quickly.

    Viewers Love Aashram

It appeared that with each successive season, the show has raised the bar. Approximately 160 million individuals viewed the first two seasons of Aashram.

Aashram had many followers around the globe, with Millions of people viewing the first season. This makes it one of the most popular original programs on the streaming service’s parent platform. Aashram is MX Player’s most popular program on the platform.

Additionally, the show was trending at number one on YouTube in India within six hours of the release of the season 3 trailer. Season 3 has received more adoration and appreciation than ever before.

The teaser for the third season of MX Player begins off where the previous season left off when Baba Nirala became brave. His growing desire for power makes him impossible to stop. He believes he is superior to everyone and God.

This “badnaam” Aashram continues to exploit women, distribute narcotics, and dominate local politics. On the other hand, Pammi is restless due to her desire to confront Bhagwaan Nirala.

Will Ujagar Singh be able to assist Pammi in obtaining justice and expose the “badnaam” Aashram for what it is?

The show’s first 32 hours on air attracted more than 100 million viewers, a similar number we see with Monday night football. Bobby Deol portrays the renowned Baba Nirala, who must cope with the rage of Aaditi Pohankar’s character Pammi, who wanted to be a wrestler and now wants the Aashram to compensate her for being used.

    The Show

The concept behind Aashram is solid. The episodes on bogus godmen and their cults have been highly received and acclaimed worldwide. However, Aashram is not as polished as Waco, True Detective’s first season, or even Orphan Black. It does not practice the art of silence.

On the other hand, fans were confident that the third season would be produced sooner or later. Chapter 2 went slower and more deliberate than the first season, but it finished on a cliffhanger, suggesting that the production crew had already planned for a third season when the second season was written.

    The Plot

The tension is strong, the music is on point, and the performances are magnificent. There are no nude individuals or foul language, yet the show is sometimes exhilarating. At moments, the tone resembles a horrible 1990s Rajiv Rai crime drama, unlike a superb Abbas-Mustan one.

Esha Gupta portrays one of the new characters, Sonia. Sonia is a renowned publicist and brand consultant who operates globally. In contrast to many women surrounding Babaji, such as Tridha Choudhury’s Babita and Anurita Jha’s Kavita, she is a powerful and talented lady.

Sonia, played by Esha, adheres to her plan despite several unforeseen obstacles, yet her character is limited to her sexual attraction to Babaji. This shows lovers set for Monday night football tonight will have extra entertainment.

The focus of the show is Bobby Deol, who delivers the performance of his career. He is convincing as the intelligent and charming imposter and brings out the essential creepiness as the Baba’s devoted servant Bhopa Singh Sanyal, performs admirably.

Sanyal is a close second, but Deol steals the show with his performance. Esha is a character that appears in multiple episodes, but she has not yet been highlighted to reveal what she has been up to. Esha Gupta looks great as Sonia, but the show underutilizes her.

Chandan’s performance of the story brings it to life. However, Anupriya Goenka and Darshan Kumaar are undervalued talents on the show. Since the doctor and the good officer are on a crusade against the Aashram, their screen time is significantly reduced compared to prior seasons.

This implies that their characters have little room to develop. Each character has become a parody of themselves.

Pammi, portrayed by Aaditi Pohankar, was absent from a few episodes, but it appears that she will return to the Aashram and receive more screen time in season 4. Sadly, Anupriya Goenka and Darshan Kumar did not return for Season 3.

The fourth season of Aashmran is in production and will hit MX Player in 2023.
