It is going a thrilling ride for movie buffs as several movies are coming this weekend on OTT and in theatres. Theatrical releases include the period action drama Kabzaa, a superhero treat Shazam! Fury of the Gods, social comedy Zwigato and social drama Mr Chatterjee Vs Norway. Some most awaited movies are making their OTT debut this week, including The Whale and Vaathi. Kabzaa

Kabzaa is a Kannada-language period action drama directed by R. Chandru. The movie offers a glimpse into mafia life in pre-independence India. The plot revolves around Arakeshwara who due to unforeseen events, is forced to enter the underworld, where he later ascends to the position of king. However, Arakeshwara runs into difficulties when he has to deal with Bhargav Bhakshi, a cop who is determined to eradicate the underworld.

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is a movie based on the DC Comics character Shazam. It is meant to be Shazam! (2019)’s follow-up and the 12th entry in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Billy Batson and his foster brothers, who become superheroes by uttering the phrase “Shazam!” are compelled to resume their war against the Daughters of Atlas. They must stop them from using a weapon that could destroy the world.

The movie is set in the current times in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Manas, an ex-factory floor manager, joins Zwigato as a delivery boy after losing his position due to the pandemic. The film presents a story of the relentlessness of life.

Kuttey

Aasmaan Bhardwaj’s directional debut starring Nasserudin Shah, Tabu, Konkana Sen, Arjun Kapoor and others is about three stray gangs having the same target, a van carrying crores of cash. Black Adam

Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson is a spin-off to Shazam! (2019) and the 11th film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Johnson stars as Teth-Adam / Black Adam, an ancient superhuman who is released from his magic imprisonment by a group of archaeologists to free the nation of Kahndaq from the crime syndicate Intergang.

Vaathi

Vaathi/Sir is a period coming-of-age action drama film written and directed by Venky Atluri. Starring Dhanush and Samyuktha in lead roles, the movie revolves around a third-grade junior lecturer who stands against the institutes, that provide education to children in exchange for business profits.

The Whale

The plot of the movie follows a reclusive, morbidly obese English teacher who tries to restore his relationship with his teenage daughter. Based on the 2012 play of the same name, The Whale stars Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins, and Samantha Morton.
