2015 has brought a lot of hope and expectations for Bollywood fans. There are a lot of soon-to-be-released movies that we can’t wait to see mainly because of some new and exciting pairings. With a lot of experiments happening in Bollywood, we have already witnessed the magic of some first-time Jodi’s in 2015 like Irrfan-Deepika in Piku, Ranbir-Jacqueline in Roy and Farhan-Priyanka in the recently released Dil Dhadakne Do. After seeing such promising performances, we have high hopes from these fresh Jodi’s to be seen in upcoming movies. Let’s have a look at top 10 fresh Bollywood Jodi’s to look out for in 2015, 2016.

1. Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor- ABCD 2
The trailer looks promising, Varun and Shraddha seem to complement each other well. These two have been friends since their childhood and we can’t wait to see this friendship blossoming into some great onscreen chemistry. The movie is set to release on 19 June 2015, here’s hoping for some magic!

2. Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar- Wazir
The breath-taking 1 minutes 20 seconds teaser released a few months back was so amazing, it had us on the edge of our seats! With one more teaser out now, we are actually teased!! We are expecting some power-packed performances from these two, with Amitabh playing a handicapped chess genius in the movie and Farhan playing a bad-ass cop from ATS.

3. Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor- Shandaar
Director Vikas Bahl of ‘Queen’ fame got the amazing idea of casting two of the cutest faces of Bollywood together in ‘Shandaar’. The movie is said to be the first ever wedding-destination film to be made in Bollywood, depicting an Indian family going to Europe for a destination wedding. The story seems interesting and what’s most interesting is Alia and Shahid together for the first time. This is one movie to watch out for.

4. Chitrangada and Nawazuddin Siddique- Babumoshai Bandookbaaz
Surprised?? Well, we were too! And not just with the name, but by the odd pairing also. The film is supposed to be a thriller, with Chitrangada playing the role of Bengali cobbler! No, wait till you hear more..she will go completely de-glam for this role!! This info is more than enough to get our attention. And obviously, we can expect another great performance by Nawazuddin.

5. Shahrukh Khan and Mahira Khan- Raees
King Khan will be seen romancing the Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan in this movie. Mahira is best known for her role in Pakistani TV series Hamsafar. Shahrukh fans are holding their breath for this one. We are expecting a great action-thriller, with Shahrukh as a gangster again. And off-course, Mahira Khan!

6. Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor- Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo
Though they have been together in ‘Saawariya’ earlier, but that doesn’t exactly count. In Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Salman and Sonam will be playing the main leads and that too as lovers. Now this is something interesting! With Salman making a comeback as ‘Prem’, we look forward to seeing Sonam paired against him.

7. Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor- Fitoor
This romantic drama film is expected to be release next year in February, but already it’s catching a lot of attention. The pairing of Katrina and Aditya is a pleasant surprise for us. Fitoor is an onscreen adaptation of the book ‘Great Expectations’ by Charles Dickens.

8. Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut- Katti Batti
After delivering hits like ‘Queen’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, Kangana is ready to set the theaters ablaze once again with ‘Katti Batti‘ along with Imran Khan. This Jodi is definitely a refreshing one for us. This is Imran’s first movie post fatherhood. This movie seems to be typical rom-com with a dose of Kangana’s madness all over the place. But they do look adorable together, right?

9. Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra- Brothers
The much awaited official remake of the Hollywood hit ‘Warriors’ is all set to hit the box office of 14 Aug 2015. Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra play two estranged brothers who come to terms with their past by fighting against each other. Yes, it is unusual and that’s what has raised so much interest in this movie. With Jackie Shroff playing the role of their father and Jacqueline Fernandez playing Akshay’s wife, we are all up and waiting to see these two heart-throbs in the ring!

10. Vir Das and Sunny Leone- Mastizaade
Whatttt..tt?? Comic actor Vir Das and the sultry Sunny Leone together??
Well, we were surprised too. This sex comedy film was supposed to be released on May 1, 2015 but due to its explicit ‘sexual content’, it is still being held back by Censor Board. But whenever the Board allows this movie to be released, it will surely be interesting to see Vir Das against Sunny, who plays a dual role.

I would not be exaggerating if I say there is a lot in store for us this year in terms of some great on-screen chemistry and memorable performances. Fingers crossed!
