The series follows Queen Elizabeth II from her wedding to Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947 until the early twenty-first century. However, it currently has four seasons that have premiered to immense popularity.

However, it has been revealed that the fifth and sixth seasons will be the series’ final two. The release date for season 5 was just announced at TUDUM, Netflix’s international fan event, sending fans into a frenzy.

The announcement of The Crown season 5 was made at the Netflix global fan event, Tudum. Following the death of the Queen, Netflix chose not to postpone the release of Season 5. Therefore, Season 5 will premiere on November 9, 2022.

Fans have been patiently waiting to watch the next chapter of the royal family’s lives unfold on television for almost two years since the fourth season of the Netflix drama began. And now that the release date is so close, they can relax.

The Crown Season 5 Plot

Each season of The Crown follows the royal family for around a decade. Therefore, after discovering Charles’ affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, Elizabeth chastised him and forbade him from getting a divorce. Diana was also found to be having an affair and was similarly told by Philip that she needed to put up a united front with Charles.

However, we all know that’s not what happens. Season five is anticipated to investigate the gradual breakdown of Charles and Diana’s marriage, which officially terminated in 1996 after a four-year separation and received considerable media attention.
