The fans just loved Vidyut Jammwal in an action avatar. The actor is back to do what he is best at in his upcoming hostage drama movie titled Sanak. The trailer is out and the action star once again amazes us with his kicks and punches. The OTT release date of Sanak is out now. Fans are excited to know more about the movie. Sanak movie plot

Sanak is a hostage drama that revolves around Vivan (Vidyut) who is finding it difficult to keep his love story alive when his partner Anshika (Rukmini Maitra) is diagnosed with heart disease. She gets admitted to the hospital to get operated on. However, things get messed up when a terrorist group attack the hospital and hostage staff members and patients including Anshika.

Now the onus is on Vivan, an MMA trainer, to turn the game and take on the entire terror group headed by Chandan Roy Sanyal. Will Vivan be able to save the patients? Will Anshika manage to survive? The high-octane action-drama will answer all these questions.

Sanak star cast and other details

The movie stars Vidyut Jammwal in a lead role. He is a one-man army in the movie and fans would love to see him in an all-action avatar. Sanak also stars:

Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Zee Studios, Sanak was initially touted to be a remake of the 2002 Denzel Washington’s film John Q. However, the makers have denied these reports and said that it is an original story.

Speaking about Sanak, Vidyut said, “The film was shot during the pandemic time and as every other Indian, we went to work and we have come up with this film. Once you watch it, I can guarantee you that it will inspire you to be a better version of yourself and to help people around you.”

Vipul said, “We are so excited to bring Sanak to Indian audiences. Our films really haven’t explored the hostage drama space in depth and detail and Sanak is our attempt at doing just that.”

Sanak release date on Disney+ Hotstar

Under the normal scenario, Sanak could have premiered in theatres. However, the makers of Sanak have opted for a direct OTT release.

Directed by Kanishk Varma, Sanak will release on Disney+Hotstar on October 15, 2021. Vidyut Jammwal’s starrer looks like a decent hostage drama packed with high octane action scenes and emotions.
