Samaritan Movie Plot
In the movie, Sam Cleary, a thirteen-year-old boy, suspects that his mysterious and reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith is a Superhero who was claimed dead. Samaritan was believed killed twenty years ago after a fiery warehouse battle with his enemy, Nemesis. Most people assume Samaritan died in the fire, but other people in the city, including Sam, believe he is still alive. With the rise in crime and the city’s verge of collapse, Sam makes it his duty to bring his neighbor out of hiding to protect the city.
Samaritan Trailer Gives Away Too Much
On July 27, 2022, Samaritan’s official trailer was launched on Amazon Prime Video. The entire movie’s story was revealed in the trailer. The teaser takes us to the fictitious Granite Metropolis, where crime and violence are on a high, and the impending collapse of the city is only a matter of time.
Stallone’s character Joe Smith appears to have a typical existence, working as a garbage man and following the news like everyone else. However, after he uses his abilities to rescue some bullies from abusing a young child named Sam, the youngster becomes interested in Joe and believes that Joe is the superhero Samaritan. But, he was informed that Samaritan passed away 25 years ago.
Sam, who lives across from Joe, starts to watch him and eventually confronts him. Sam persists despite Joe’s dismissal of him, telling him that all he does for a living is pick up trash. When a car runs over Joe, his cover is destroyed, but he survives. Sam implores Joe to reclaim his heroic identity and save the city.
