Only Murders In the Building Season 3 Plot
The finale of Season 2 left fans with a cliffhanger. Season 3 will obviously pick up from where Season 2 ended. In the ending scene of the second season, we see Ben die on stage in the middle of his performance. So, the third season will most likely be about the backstory of the play. Charles, Oliver & Mabel investigate a murder behind the scenes at a Broadway show.
So, get your detective hats ready, as the third season will be filled with adventures. The show’s writers announced that Oliver would take centre stage in the upcoming season, which season two had hinted at with its one-year time jump to Oliver’s Broadway directing debut.

The impeccable cast especially the three lead stars who play detectives is the USP of the show. Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage, Martin Short as Oliver Putnam, and Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora, headline the cast of the crime comedy.
As far as other cast members are concerned, Amy Ryan will not reprise her role as Jan Bellows, Charles’ previous love interest. Additionally, Nathan Lane will not be returning as Teddy Dimas. However, there is a possibility that Jane Lynch might make a comeback as Sazz Pataki, Charles’ stunt double and a somewhat friendly presence in his life.
With each season featuring a fresh murder mystery to unravel, the cast of characters undergoes expansion, introducing new members while also keeping some familiar faces from previous seasons.
This season is going to be big as 21-time Academy Award nominee and three-time winner, Meryl Streep, has joined the cast. Her character in the series is still unknown but from the teaser, we can assume she’s an actor. Golden Globe-nominated actor and MCU star Paul Rudd also joined the cast for the third season in Aug 2022. As per the latest news, Ashley Park has also joined the season’s cast.
