Sultan Day 1 Occupancy Report: Morning Shows
Released on 4350 screens across the country, Sultan got off to a flying start as the occupancy in the morning shows was as high as 80%. This is the highest occupancy registered by a movie in morning shows on the first day. Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year also got off to a similar opening when released on Diwali 2014.
UP, Haryana and Punjab got off to earth-shattering start with occupancy in the single screens and mass centers was 90%. In Mumbai, Delhi and other metros, Sultan got off to a reasonably good start with occupancy of around 70%. Sultan is running liking a riot across the country.

Sultan continues its glorious run. In the noon shows, the movie is running to packed houses across the country. Be it Delhi, Mumbai, UP, Rajasthan, every single screen and multiplex have a housefull board outside.

The movie witnessed some drop in occupancy as Eid now fall on 7th July, Still, the overall occupancy was as high as 75%. Punjab, UP, Delhi, Rajasthan remained the best performing centers.
The reviews have been good and it seems that Salman Khan is all set again to rule the Box Office. As per the official figures shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Sultan collected 36.54 crores on its first day to become the third highest opening day grosser of Bollywood. This is a massive number considering that noon and evening shows were low because of pre Eid celebrations.
