Kedarnath first day collection: Average opening

Released with low expectations, Kedarnath had an ordinary start in the morning show. It witnessed around 20% occupancy in the morning show. The growth was there in the evening and night show but that wasn’t enough to post big first day total.

Kedarnath is performing well in metros and multiplexes but is weaker in single screens and mass centres. Early reports suggest that Kedarnath first day box office collection would be around 5 crores.

This isn’t a bad start for the film which is getting a tough competition from a biggie like 2.0. 2.0 on its second Friday earned around 10 crores.

Kedarnath first day collection: Way ahead

While Sara Ali Khan must have huge expectations from the film, the early reviews and reports are not favourable. The audience hasn’t liked the movie, declaring it slow and boring stuff.

However, Sara Ali Khan has impressed one and all. She has a superb screen presence. Most of the people have loved her acting skills and confidence.

With poor reviews coming in, Kedarnath will feel the heat in the coming days. The movie needs to put up a good show on Saturday and Sunday or else the game will be over.

Released on 1850 screens, the budget of the film including the advertising and promotion is 60 crores. It needs to earn 75 crores to be called hit at the box office. Well, considering the opening day numbers, this looks a tough task.
