The Lion King, the latest remake of Disney’s of one of it’s classic has turned out to be another Hollywood blockbuster in India. The movie that had already crossed Rs.100 crore milestone is still doing wonders at the box-office in only 11 days.
According to trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, ‘The Lion King’ has become second-highest Hollywood grosser of 2019 after Avengers: Endgame. Also, the movie has moved pass Captain Marvel’s lifetime numbers, which is Rs 85 crore.

The movie revolves around the story of Simba, a cub, who is manipulated to leave the kingdom after ‘Scar’ stages the death of the King Mufasa to usurp the throne. The Lion King is released on 2,140 screens in India in four versions (English, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi).
The Hindi version of The Lion King has particularly aroused the interest of Bollywood movie buffs all thanks to King Khan, who has given his voice to the character of Mufasa, while the voice of Simba is given by SRK’s son Aryan Khan.
Taran Adarsh took to his twitter and revealed the total numbers earned by ‘The Lion King’ till now as the movie completes three weekends at the box-office. The movie is inching towards the 150 crore mark. He wrote:
