Shahrukh Khan is one of the biggest superstars of Bollywood today along with Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Akshay Kumar. The actor has recently completed 25 years in Bollywood and it has been a fantastic box-office journey for SRK. He made his Bollywood debut with Deewana in 1992. The movie went on to become a hit and SRK was awarded the Filmfare Award for the Best Debut Male.
After a series of flops in 1992, SRK came back strongly in 1993 with Darr and Baazigar in which he played negative roles. 1995 proved to be a superb year for SRK as Karan Arjun and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge went on to become blockbusters at the Box Office. Still running at Maratha Mandir in Mumbai, DDLJ established SRK as the global star of Bollywood.
DDLJ was followed by other romantic blockbusters Kucch Kucch Hota Hai, Dil To Pagal Hai, and Mohabbatein which established SRK as the king of romance in Bollywood. From 2000 to 2016, SRK experimented with movies like Swades, Paheli, Ra. One, My Name Is Khan while some of them worked others simply failed at the Box Office.
It’s been a remarkable journey for SRK. He is among the most-loved and respected actors of Bollywood with probably the biggest fan following in the country. Let’s have a look at Shahrukh Khan’s Box Office journey over the years.
