After a good opening weekend with the collection of 18.76 crores, Taapsee Pannu starrer Naam Shabana is struggling at the domestic box office. Well, we were expecting this as the movie has received poor to mixed reviews from critics. Moreover, the movie performed well in the first weekend probably because of Akshay Kumar’s factor which is not playing any role now.

On Monday, the movie witnessed huge drop of around 45% and managed to earn 2.54 crores. On Tuesday, the movie dropped further by around 10%. As per early estimates, Naam Shabana 5th day collection will be around 2.2 crores. After five days, the total collection of 23.5 crores. In overseas, the movie has grossed only $0.62 million in the first weekend. The lack of star power is certainly costing the movie. Moreover, the reports are negative as the movie failed to hook up the audience.

Naam Shabana is made on a budget of Rs 40 Crores including printing and advertising cost. The movie needs to earn at least 50 crores to be called a hit at the box office. The makers haven’t been able to manage the cost and the movie has recovered only 10 crores through satellite and music rights.

Naam Shabana has to rely on box office performance to emerge as a profitable venture for its makers. The box office fate of the movie will depend on how its performs in the first week.
