1st Sunday Box Office Report | Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 4th Day Collection
Salman Khan in PRDP

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 4th Day Collection – PRDP collected 28.3 crores on its 1st Sunday at the Indian Box Office.

Salman Khan‘s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo witnessed a drop of around 5% on its first Sunday at the domestic Box Office. After raking in more than 100 crores in first three days, the movie was expected to have a bumper Sunday but the movie saw a drop and collected on 28.3 crores. Being a holiday, it was expected that the movie will open to packed houses on Sunday but that didn’t happen. In fact, the occupancy in the morning shows was low as compared to Friday and Saturday.

The movie picked up in afternoon shows, but the result could have been better. The movie is performing best in mass dominated centers like MP, Bihar and UP. After a superb first two days in Delhi and Punjab, the movie is underperforming there. Delhi and Punjab are hugely important centers and average performance in these centers is a big concern. Late night and evening shows remains average on Sunday as there is a big working day on Monday. The movie now stands at the total collection of 129.77* crores. The first four days collection of PRDP is highest among the big releases like Dhoom 3 (129.32 crores), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (129.65 crores) and Happy New Year (123.86 crores).

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Box Office Collection | Day-Wise update

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 1st Day Collection – 40.35 crores
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 2nd Day Collection – 31.05 crores
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 3rd Day Collection – 30.07 crores
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 4th Day Collection – 28.3 crores  (Official figures)
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo First Weekend Collection – 129.77 crores

The real issue with PRDP is that the WOM is quite negative especially from youngsters. Youngsters feel that the movie is too outdated for the modern times.

The real test for the movie will start from Monday when WOM gets into play. I just get the feeling that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will follow the same trend as last year Diwali release Happy New Year. Since the WOM is not good, the movie will surely struggle from Monday once the holiday period is over.
