Top Worldwide Bollywood Grossers: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat Beats Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai To Take The 7th Spot In The List.
Padmaavat, right after its release has made makers happy throughout and now there is another feather in the cap. Following the success of the film at the box office and also getting rave reviews, the makers of the movie were proud of the film and now the latest reports say that it is now the eighth highest grosser Bollywood movie of all time. Even after 35 days of its release, the film is doing a decent business and is raking big money in and outside India.
Padmaavat worldwide box office collection
Padmaavat, according to reports, has made a total worldwide collection of 564 crores which the seventh highest figure in terms of worldwide collection for any Bollywood film. The movie received a grand opening and since then it is making big at the box office. The film received much appreciation from the critics as well as fans hailing it as a superb film. Later, actress Swara Bhaskar made debatable comments about the film saying it glorified Johar which was added to publicity of the film.
Aamir Khan is the king of worldwide box office
Padmaavat stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. The highest grosser Bollywood till date is Dangal (2122 crores) and the second being Secret Superstar (965 crores) followed by PK (854 crores). All three have Aamir Khan as the common actor. Bajrangi Bhaijan (680 crores), Sultan (589.25 crores) and Dhoom 3 (589.2 crores) share the next three positions. Now Padmaavat has left behind Salman and Katrina starrer Tiger Zinda Hain (562 crores) to take the seventh spot.
Padmaavat’s release was marred by controversies created due to the opposition by a community in Rajastan that threatened the makers and actors of the film saying the content of the movie insulted their sentiments. Following this, the movie’s release was delayed. Amidst security and much apprehensions, the movie released mostly peacefully and we sure the outcome brought back all the smiles to the makers of the film.
