Gully Boy Day 1 Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy is off to a very good opening. Read day 1 box office collection report of the movie.
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy is off to a very good opening at the domestic box office. As per early estimates, Gully Boy 1st day box office collection would be in the range of 18 to 20 crores. This is a very good number for a niche youth-oriented movie which has almost zero box office potential in mass centres.
Gully Boy First Day Box Office Collection: Occupancy
Released on Valentine’s day, the movie recorded around 35% in the morning shows across the country. Mumbai and Pune were the best performing circuits due to the local flavour. In Mumbai and Pune City, the movie is giving big competition to biggies like Tiger Zinda Hai, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and Happy New Year.
As the day progressed, the movie witnessed huge growth in occupancy. In fact, it touched 77%-80% range in the evening and night shows in high-end metro cities like Mumbai City, Delhi and Pune. The collections on the first got a big boost due to Valentine’s Day.
Gully Boy First Day Box Office Collection: Way Ahead
Gully Boy first day collection would be around 19 crores. This is definitely a very good opening. The movie has exceeded expectations as far as the opening is concerned. Most of the trade experts predicted it to earn around 15 crores on the first day.
Moreover, the WOM is extremely positive and critics reviews are also in favour of the movie. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s recent box office success is an additional advantage for the movie.
Made on a budget of 75 crores, Gully Boy needs to earn 90 crore mark to be called a hit at the box office. Crossing this number should be a cakewalk after a big opening. With positive WOM and reviews, I am expecting the movie to cross 80 crore mark in the first weekend (4 days) itself.
