The marketing team has tried different promotional strategies to create hype and buzz on social media channels. The movie hasn’t been able to create enough buzz because of weak music and promos. Moreover, DBB is one of those movies whose Box Office fate depends completely on reviews and WOM.

DBB has an advantage of holiday release, but the big issue is that it has to lock horns with the biggest international release of year Fast and Furious 7. Fast and Furious series has a huge fan following in India and it wouldn’t be a big surprise if its opening day Box Office Collection is higher than DBB. Detective Byomkesh Bakshy is expected to get a decent release on around 1250 screens. With, 30%-40% occupancy, the movie is expected to have an opening day collection of around 4.5 crores.
We can expect a decent crime thriller from Dibakar and Sushant, so the movie is expected to show decent growth on weekend with positive WOM. DBB is made on a decent budget of around 30 crores. The movie needs to make around 35 crores in order to be a profitable venture for its producers.
