Check the 3rd day, first weekend box office collection report of Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Bhoot: The Haunted Ship’.

Ayushamann Khurrana has cemented his hit star status with ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’. After two back to back 100 crore grossers last year, the actor is set to deliver one more big hit at the box office. After a good opening, the film witnessed decent growth on Saturday and Sunday to end the first weekend with strong numbers. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal starrer horror film ‘Bhoot: The Haunted Ship’ has an average opening weekend.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan 3rd Day Collection, First Weekend Report

Like Ayushmann’s last few films, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan succeeds to entertain the audience. The film is a love story of two guys. The film got off to a pretty good opening as it collected Rs 9.55 crore on the first day. It saw good growth on Saturday (day 2), collected Rs 11.08 crore. On Sunday, the film witnessed limited growth and collected around Rs 11.5 crore.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan first weekend collection stands at Rs 32+ crore. It is the fourth highest opening weekend for Ayushmann after Bala, Badhaai Ho and Dream Girl. Both of them entered 100 crore club. Will this one be able to do achieve this number? Let’s wait and watch.

Bhoot: The Haunted Ship 3rd Day Collection, First Weekend Report

The other release of the week, Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship’ failed to make much impact. It received mixed reviews from the critics and audience. The film got off to an average opening, collecting Rs 5.10 crore on day 1. It saw limited growth on Saturday with the collection of Rs 5.52 crore.

With a slight jump on Sunday, the film collected around Rs 6 crore. The first weekend collection of ‘Bhoot: The Haunted Ship’ is around Rs 17 crore. The film should hold well on Monday to stay afloat at the box office.
