Sooryavanshi release date: Earlier scheduled to release on 27 March 2020, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer will now release on 24 March 2020.
In a recent turn of events, Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty starrer Sooryavanshi that was due to release on 27 March 2020 has a new release date. The Akshay Kumar-Rohit Shetty action flick will now hit the silver screens on 24 March 2020 leaving the 20 March weekend empty for any releases. As per the makers, 25 March is Gudi Padwa festival holiday in Maharashtra that will most definitely give the first-day collection a good push.

Besides, the makers want to enjoy a part of the Maharashtrian holiday even though it is not a national holiday. They also want to accumulate as much money as possible before Ranveer Singh arrives with his sports-drama ’83. Kabir Khan’s ’83 is based on India’s victory in 1983 cricket World Cup. According to reports, the filmmakers of Sooryavanshi are confident about the film. They know that the film has created a tremendous pre-release buzz.
Earlier the makers had moved Sooryavanshi release date to give way to Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. Akshay and Rohit had jointly decided to avoid clashing with Salman Khan and Prabhu Deva’s film on Eid 2020. However, Salman Khan’s film will now clash with Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy film Laxxmi Bomb.
According to recent development, Homi Adajania too preponed the release of Irrfan Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan starrer Angrezi Medium to avoid any clashes with Sooryavanshi. Angrezi Medium will now release on 13 March 2020.
