Vidya Balan’s Tumhari Sulu will hit the theaters on Friday. Directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by T-Series, Tumhari Sulu is comical slice-of-life film. Vidya plays the role of a enthusiastic and happy-go-lucky housewife. Her routine life changes when she unexpectedly gets an exciting job of a night RJ (radio jockey) on a leading radio station. Tumhari Sulu box office prediction: positives and negatives

Positives

1. The trailer of the film has been well received. It has a nice, happy feel. The movie seems to have every element of a good family entertainer.
2. Vidya Balan is at the top of her game. She looks confident and elegant as enthusiastic housewife. This may turn out one of the best roles of her career.
3. No competition at the box office. Tumhari Salu will clash with Aksar 2. Both movies are from different genre. There is literally no competition from the past releases.

Negatives

1.  Vidya Balan’s recent track record: Vidya has lost the way in the last 3 to 4 years of her career. In fact, her last hit movie was Kahaani released way back in 2012. Her last film Begum Jaan was also a  flop at the box office. She needs to make a good comeback with Tumhari Sulu.
2. Except Vidya, there are no big names in the film. So, she has to solely drive the film on her strong shoulders.

Tumhari Sulu box office prediction: Our prediction

Tumhari Sulu is not a big budget, multistarrer film. It is a simple, sensible and low budget film targeted to audience and youth. We just can’t expect it to earn 100 crores. Still, Tumhari Sulu looks promising. I am expecting the film to take a decent start. It should earn around 4 to 5 crores on Friday and from there it can take a big leap. Tumhari Sulu is one of those films which can surprise us both critically and commercially.

The budget of the film is around 30 crores. As per our prediction, it should easily earn 35 to 40 crores at the domestic box office. The producers will make good profit as the music, digital and satellite rights will fetch good price.
