Rajamouli’s Telugu epic period action drama RRR had a whopping opening at the box office. The film which starred Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in titular roles, collected Rs 223.5 Crore worldwide on its opening day.
Baahubali 2 (2017)
Worldwide opening day collection: Rs 217 Crore
Another SS Rajamouli film is on the list. The film turned out to be one of the most successful films in Indian cinema reportedly coining a whopping Rs 217 crores on its opening day.
KGF 2 (2022)

Jawan (2023)

Shah Rukh Khan’s mass actioner helmed by Atlee had a bumper opening worldwide. On its first day of release, the film’s Hindi version earned Rs 65 crore in India, with a further Rs 10 Crore from its dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions, for a net total of Rs 75 Crore. Worldwide, all versions grossed Rs 129 Crore on the opening day.
